TURNING WASTE INTO GOLD

Latest News

Fulcrum is an AIM quoted company pioneering the use of innovative technology to recover precious metals from mine waste (tailings) and the remediation of the sites. This approach enables Fulcrum to monitise the valuable contained metals, improve environmental outcomes and strengthen the social licence to operate.

Innovation In Mine Waste Processing And Remediation

Collaborative Effort Eliminating The Use Of Cyanide

The Company’s collaboration with Extrakt Process Solutions LLC is eliminating the use of cyanide at mine sites. By applying Extrakt’s innovative and groundbreaking cyanide free leaching technology and solid liquid separation technology known as TNSTM across its projects, Fulcrum is transforming the mining sector.

Extrakt (extraktps.com) partnered with Bechtel Energy Technologies & Solutions (Bechtel.com) forming a strategic global alliance to commercialise Extrakt’s groundbreaking technology. The two companies are leveraging their combined expertise to design an efficient, cost-effective system prioritising sustainability.

Extrakt and Bechtel Partner to Commercialize Groundbreaking Solid-Liquid Separation Technology

Fulcrum has exclusive rights to the Extrakt technology for the regions of Timmins and Kirkland Lake for legacy gold mine waste, which are two of Canada’s most prolific gold camps.

Projects And Breakthrough Testing

Fulcrums Teck-Hughes and Sylvanite gold tailing sites have a combined estimate of over 10 million tonnes and 200K ounces of gold, located in the Kirkland Lake gold camp, within the Canadian province of Ontario.

High level testing across Fulcrum’s projects with Extrakt’s technology has significantly increased the gold recoveries to 59.4% and substantially reduced leach times to 3 hours. These are breakthrough results compared to previous testing at Sylvanite in 2008 with traditional Cyanide methods achieving gold recoveries of 30% over 48 hours leach times. A preliminary non-optimised conceptual study at Teck-Hughes delivered positive economics. There is substantial upside potential through further testing, refinement and optimisation.

Production, Scale Up And Build Out

Fulcrum has a clear path to production at Teck-Hughes with a focus on scaling up and building out tonnage of its operations at sites across Kirkland Lake, Timmins, and beyond.

Teck Hughes can be scaled up through the tie in of one of the many local sites in Kirkland Lake which includes Fulcrums second project Sylvanite. This concept can then be built out and repeated across other sites.

Improving Environmental Outcomes

This approach addresses two critical sustainability challenges:  decarbonising the metals supply chain and promoting biodiversity recovery through site reclamation and environmental stabilisation.

By focussing on mine waste already present at surface, it eliminates the need for costly exploration, ore extraction or mine development.

Exploration Upside

Fulcrum have a highly prospective portfolio of gold exploration assets in Ontario. The Big Bear property in the Schreiber-Hemlo belt has an established 3km open gold corridor and hosts multiple drill targets with surface samples exceeding  +10g/t highlighting its discovery potential. The Tully Gold project in Timmins contains a 43-101 compliant resource of 107k ounces at 6g/t offering significant expansion. Fulcrum retains exposure to the growing Uranium market through the  optioning of its Saskatchewan Uranium portfolio to Terra Balcanica Resources (CSE:TERA).
